Gd day KLscoot,

this is Seth ( v122v945). Just wanna enquire abt this SymGTS200.I'm looking to get a daily reliabel commuter, which sud be able to handle hiway cruising speeds, avoid freaking speding trucks and smelly dumpster. Can this bike handle abt 3,000km / month? Who's the importer? Hows the AfterSalesServices? Spares? Wud most appreciate a straight dope answer.
Thks.

Hi Seth,

Sorry for the long overdue reply. Have been away & bz. I must admit that your query kinda boggles the mind! 3000 km per month is a lot of ground to cover? I'm afraid i really don't have the answer to that. I'm quite sure a lot has to do not so much with the GTS being able to handle that much mileage in a month but whether u'd be operating the machine at peak performance & over what sort of riding non stop. I think the main issue is the fear of overheating besides the normal wear & tear. Assuming if u keep your oil change & service intervals within the recommended intervals i don't see how u could fatigued the bike except for normal & tear, like more frequent tyre changes, worn brakes, roller & belt replacements etc. Main concern is would u be operating your machine in urban cycle or punishing conditions? My greatest fear would still be overheating, not that i had a problem with mine as i don't cover that much ground.

Aftersales service and part are now readily handled by Mforce the main distributor of SYM GTS. So that's one worry aside!

I hope u don't mind but i would also post this up in the forum. Perhaps we could benefit from the contributions of other users too, who might have or are interested to subject their GTS to such a punishing regiment!
